The Hoffnungskirche Bünde is a free church in the Federation of Evangelical Free Church Congregations (KdÖR), with the desire to make faith in Jesus Christ life-like, hopeful & empowering.
That is our vision!
We believe in the good news of Jesus Christ, the Gospel and his saving power, which continues to change us as people today and draws our attention to our fellow human beings. We believe that God speaks to us humans through his word even in the 21st century and that we can look to the future with hope in him. Inspired by him, we design and experience the Bünde Church of Hope.
Mit der Namensänderung haben wir auch unsere Vision, Mission und Werte überarbeitet und neu festgehalten. Mit dem "Projekt 25" wollen wir jetzt die innerliche Veränderung nach außen tragen und unser Gebäude renovieren. Neben oberflächlichen Veränderungen müssen aber auch essentielle Bestandteile renoviert werden.

As a church for and in Bünde, we are there for you. Regardless of whether you believe in Jesus Christ or are more skeptical about the Christian faith. You're welcome to join us. Together with you, we want to get to know God more and more and grow in faith. Trusting in God's love, we look to the future with hope.
Three good reasons for Project 25.
Improve acoustics
A church service room is about God's word in sermon and musical praise. To make this sound good and, above all, easy to understand, we want to improve the acoustics in the room.
Create a friendly atmosphere
Our building is already creating a nice atmosphere, that's obvious! Nevertheless, we want to keep up with the times and create a space that is inviting for outsiders.
Save energy
As a Church of Hope, we want to handle resources responsibly. That is why new insulation and a new ceiling are also part of the renovation measures.

How is Project 25 financed?
Like our church, Project 25 is financed entirely through donations. We regularly organize events where we collect donations. Feel free to drop by our events!
Why does the church need to be renovated?
There are several reasons why the church needs to be renovated. On the one hand, it is an acoustic improvement of the church service room. At the same time, we want to renew stage & stage technology in order to bring it up to date with the latest technology. Improving the energy efficiency of the ceiling of the church service room is also a major concern. This is re-insulated so that we can keep the heat in the room longer.
How long does the renovation take?
Project 25 has been planned since the beginning of 2024 and is now being implemented. Wir planen in der ersten Woche 2025 zu starten und zu Ostern fertig zu sein.
How does everyday life in church continue?
During the renovation, the space can only be used to a very limited extent. Only the cellar is available to us. There will be a number of events taking place there.
